21c Shopping
A way for stores to compete against online sites is to allow a customer to swipe his/her smartphone over the tag (ie, a barcode on the item, QR Scan) whilst s/he is out shopping, and then for the items to be delivered to the customer at their home/business address or to be picked up by a time chosen by the customer at the 'delivery counter' - hopefully located near the store's entrance/exit.
Advantages: Customers get to feel and touch the clothes before they buy. Customers do not have to haul their shopping bags whilst jumping from one store to another. |
Why don't you...invest in a few mannequins for your dressing room, rather than pack your gowns in your walk-in wardrobe. Go for the wow factor!
(7/365) 21c Shoe ShopsAnother way to take advantage of your shop is to reconfigure the way you display the shoes.
Instead of just the pedestal showcasing the one shoe, why not look at ways that you can use this pedestal as your shoe cabinet. ie, Size 8 is on the top (on display) of the pedestal, Size 9, 7, 6 is directly below, stored inside the pedestal at different levels. Therefore the customer does not have to wait for the assistant to retrieve the shoe. Just another way time can be saved, and purchases can be made on the 'go'! Of course, you won't be able to cater for all shoe sizes, but you are able to cater to the most prevalent shoe sizes in your society. |
